Here is the design collaboration of two professionals – the homeowner, who is also a Real Estate Broker with a talent for design and the kitchen designer. The captivating result of their talent features a chef’s dream kitchen. Family and guests can join in the activities with island seating while everything is readily accessible for the cook in the cabinetry surrounding the multi-purpose island. This house remodel was designed with Modern Farmhouse style; warm, relaxing and full of charm delivering the feeling of a simpler time.
Dunn Development, Inc.The new kitchen features new custom shaker-style cabinets in white, honed Danby marble counter tops, and a full wall subway tile backsplash. Appliances are Jenn-Aire.

Bilotta Kitchen & HomeWhile renovating their home located on a horse farm in Bedford, NY, it wasn’t surprising this husband and wife (who also is an equestrian) wanted their house to have a “barn feel”. To start, sourced reclaimed wood was used on the walls, floors and ceiling beams. This traditional kitchen, designed by Paulette Gambacorta, features Bilotta Collection cabinetry in a flush flat panel custom green paint with a glaze on maple. An added detail of a “crossbuck” end on the peninsula was custom made from reclaimed wood and inspired by the look of barn doors. Reclaimed wood shelves on iron brackets replaced upper cabinets for easy access. The marble countertops have a hand cut edge detail to resemble the look of when the stone was first quarried. An antique carpenter’s work bench was restored by the builder, for use as an island and extra work station. An apron front sink and a wains panel backsplash completed the barn look and feel.

The Cabinet FaceThis open layout combines walnut and matte acrylic doors, known for their durability.
Colorado Kitchen DesignsBeautiful kitchen island with large decorative posts. White farm sink and bumped out range. Small details like a vlance toe on the sink cabinet complete the overall look. Marble and soapstone tops.
Artisan Kitchens and BathsThis kitchen was completely remodeled. The space was a full gut down to the studs and sub floors.
The biggest challenge in the space was reorienting the layout to accommodate an island, larger appliances and leveling the space. The floors were more than a few inches out of level. We also turned a U-shaped kitchen with a peninsula into an L-shape with and island and relocated the sink to create a more open, eat-in area.
An additional area that was taken into consideration was the half bathroom just off the kitchen. Originally the bathroom opened up directly into the kitchen creating a break in the circulation. The toilet was rotated 180 degrees and flipped the bathroom to the other side of the area allowing the door to open and close without interfering with meal prep.
Three of the most important design features include the bold navy blue cabinets, professional appliances and modern material selection including matte brass hardware and fixtures (FAUCET, POT FILLER, PENDANTS ETC…), Herringbone backsplash, tile and white marble countertops.
