The kitchen is contiguous with the living spaces inside and out, and thus is perfect for the frequent entertaining enjoyed by this couple with their friends and extended family. Nikon D40.

This lovely beach cabin was completely remodeled to add more space and make it a bit more functional. Many vintage pieces were reused in keeping with the vintage of the space. We carved out new space in this beach cabin kitchen, bathroom and laundry area that was nonexistent in the previous layout. The original drainboard sink and gas range were incorporated into the new design as well as the reused door on the small reach-in pantry. The white tile countertop is trimmed in nautical rope detail and the backsplash incorporates subtle elements from the sea framed in beach glass colors. The client even chose light fixtures reminiscent of bulkhead lamps.
The bathroom doubles as a laundry area and is painted in blue and white with the same cream painted cabinets and countetop tile as the kitchen. We used a slightly different backsplash and glass pattern here and classic plumbing fixtures.
Wood Works BrightonThis compact kitchen packs a mega punch. With wall cabinets all the way up to the ceiling and a clever walk in pantry there is no shortage on space in this modest kitchen. The deep blue and Oak doors look amazing with a clean crisp white Corian work top.

Idesign Interiors (SW) LtdThis room was orginally a bedroom at the front of a double fronted bungalow, whilst the tiny kitchen was located at the back, isolated from the rest of the house.
Large sliding folding doors were added to one side and an L-shaped kitchen, fittted appliances and plenty of useful storage was added. A generous island with vented induction hob at its centre and offset seating offereing a view through the doors and down the valley to the woodland beyond.
