Ward Jewell Architect AIAPlaced on a large site with the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy at the rear boundary, this one story residence presents a modest, composed public façade to the street while opening to the rear yard with two wings surrounding a large loggia or “outdoor living room.” With its thick walls, overhangs, and ample cross ventilation, the project demonstrates the simple idea that a building should respond carefully to its environment.

Horn & Co. (Previously JHLA)A long, narrow swimming pool fits into the otherwise slim side yard. Bronze spouts, fabricated by a west coast artist, allow the pool to function as a decorative water feature.
Ancient SurfacesA small but cozy stone covered outdoor pool patio and wall fountain by Ancient Surfaces.
A seating area overlooks a lovely small pool fountain covered with our antique Arcane Limestone surrounded by a lovely flower trough walled in by a basket weaved teak wood ivy wall.
At the front end of the pool stands a gorgeous hand carved antique limestone wall fountain that is hundreds of years old.
