Dovetail ProjectsOur team took this traditional ranch and overhauled it to create a contemporary dream fit for it’s young family and their elevated tastes. This project included a 300 square foot kitchen addition as well as a full remodel of the existing house. This house proves that modern does not have to feel cold.
We replaced the dated windows and doors with a full wall of Jeldwen windows, as well as a huge La Cantina multi slide door for ultimate entertaining. We added contemporary frameless interior doors, white oak flooring, and custom designed walnut cabinets. We finished out the kitchen island with marble waterfall edges and a matching stone splash.
The bathrooms were upgraded with a clean and neutral palette that is as durable as it is beautiful. We mixed warm wood tones and creamy tiles with contemporary matte balck and brass fixtures and lighting for a perfect mix of natural texture and refined style.
On the exterior- we added smooth stucco to the traditional siding and replaced the composite roof with beautiful stainless steel standing seam. Wood accents in the garage doors and entry add warmth. The end result is a Modern Ranch that exudes clean, contemporary style without losing its Montecito ranch heritage.
Melton Design BuildLuxury woods meet simplicity here in this guest bathroom. The cabinetry is flat paneled and made of beautiful black walnut. Above it, sits a white marble countertop with a rectangular undermount sink.

DXVMid-century was the peak of Palm Springs glamour, and the inspiration behind this room designed by Beth Dotolo and Carolina Gentry. The angular lines of the Seagram® Freestanding Soaking Tub made it a dynamic focal point for their design. Behind it lies the tropical indoor/ outdoor shower, a refreshing expression of desert modernism. Bright whites, bursts of colors and organic patterns are all set off by a few rich hits of quirky fun, setting the tone for a true sense of leisure that’s as timeless today as it was yesterday.
Falken Reynolds InteriorsAfter living in their 1,300 square foot condo for about twenty years it was a time for something new. Rather than moving into a cookie-cutter development, these clients chose to embrace their love of colour and location and opted for a complete renovation instead. An expanded “welcome home” entry and more roomy closet space were starting points to rework the plan for modern living. The kitchen now opens onto the living and dining room and hits of saturated colour bring every room to life. Oak floors, hickory and lacquered millwork provide a warm backdrop for new and refurbished mid-century modern classics. Solid copper pulls from Sweden, owl wallpaper from England and a custom wool and silk rug from Nepal make the client’s own Venetian chandelier feel internationally at home.
