IDIT EVEN ZURa small back yard that was transformed from a area that no one used, to a small oasis. Now it has the main features as dining table, and an outdoor living area. Fruit trees, all year flowers interest and pergola completed the atmosphere.
Thayer Hopkins ArchitectsIn 2014 we were selected to participate in the “West Coast’s Premier Showcase”, the San Francisco Decorator Showcase, in partnership with Katharine Webster Landscape Design. Tasked with transforming four mundane and forgotten outdoor spaces, we culled together an artistic vision that revolves around the theme of reflection and interplays natural and manmade features. The progression starts with an outdoor covered gallery with a dappled light ceiling, reclaimed redwood decking and swinging chairs. The effect brings to mind youthful memories. The next space incorporates two thirty foot long reflective sculptural walls that add privacy and interest behind trained rhododendron. The spaces crescendo into the upper terrace with a custom mirrored sculpture that adds dynamism and is a wondrous outdoor room for reflection.
Pepo Botanic DesignOur clients wanted us to create a garden that screened the neighbours, was less ‘linear’ and be textured and lush. They wanted a garden that had layers and depth, something to journey through and enjoy.
Drawing on the utilitarian, earthy materials of the home a modest material palette of decomposed granite and recycled brick was used to tie the style of the home to the garden terraces. Each terrace whether for outdoor dining or for relaxing under the dappled light of the trees provides a garden space that is enjoyed by all.

Art of the LandPaved driveway at end of block adds interest and minimizes the slope of the drive, complete with flagstone borders.
The Bristol GroupThis modern new home landscaping was designed to create a bright, welcoming landscape. Splashes of fall color was attained using Mums, Kale, and Cabbage. Autumnal colors were celebrated with the use of Japanese Maple, which is up-lit to add visual distinction at night. Holland Stone pavers were laid in a herringbone pattern, with a soldier course to frame the edge for an attractive entry.
Aralia: Innovation in Landscape DesignAn award winning Victorian garden design that featured in ITV’s ‘Britain’s best gardens’ programme. The design features Victorian paviours, a metal pergola, a slate bench and traditional raised brick beds. Unusual down-lighting and a mixture of cottage garden and architectural planting complete the design. Photography by John Glover
