Cafeina DesignTadeo 4909 is a building that takes place in a high-growth zone of the city, seeking out to offer an urban, expressive and custom housing. It consists of 8 two-level lofts, each of which is distinct to the others.
The area where the building is set is highly chaotic in terms of architectural typologies, textures and colors, so it was therefore chosen to generate a building that would constitute itself as the order within the neighborhood’s chaos. For the facade, three types of screens were used: white, satin and light. This achieved a dynamic design that simultaneously allows the most passage of natural light to the various environments while providing the necessary privacy as required by each of the spaces.
Additionally, it was determined to use apparent materials such as concrete and brick, which given their rugged texture contrast with the clearness of the building’s crystal outer structure.
Another guiding idea of the project is to provide proactive and ludic spaces of habitation. The spaces’ distribution is variable. The communal areas and one room are located on the main floor, whereas the main room / studio are located in another level – depending on its location within the building this second level may be either upper or lower.
In order to achieve a total customization, the closets and the kitchens were exclusively designed. Additionally, tubing and handles in bathrooms as well as the kitchen’s range hoods and lights were designed with utmost attention to detail.
Tadeo 4909 is an innovative building that seeks to step out of conventional paradigms, creating spaces that combine industrial aesthetics within an inviting environment.

We presented a comprehensive range of choices to our client, covering roofing, front doors, exterior moldings, and various window options. Each option underwent thorough consideration during the final selection process. These meticulously crafted renderings not only saved our client a substantial amount of money but also significantly streamlined the construction timeline for their contractors
DEMO ArchitectsThe south elevation of the house is characterized by a thick wood overhang that protects the home from excessive heat in the summer. A large rounded window projects a circle of light throughout the living room, marking the passage of time and highlighting different details at every minute
UserThe contemporary style house is linear in nature creating a diametric form against the organic landscape. The opposing forms do well in showcasing each other in their contrast. The grand open floor plan welcomes you in as the views of the surrounding mountain range parade the backside of the home. The 12’ span of glass creates a feeling of being amongst the outdoors while enjoying the comforts of the home. Ample light floods into the home with a row of clerestory windows in the two-story great room. This home was truly built for entertaining, with a 12-person dining table, two living rooms, a bunk room, and a large outdoor entertaining area with a dual-sided fireplace.
Glo A5f double pane windows and doors were selected since modern profiles and cost-effective efficiency were a priority. The aluminum series boasts high-performance spacers, multiple air seals, a continuous thermal break, and low iron glass with sleek durable hardware. Selecting the flange (f) profile of the series allows for a conventional install to an otherwise exceptional window. The clarity and size of the windows and doors showcase the true beauty of the home by allowing the outdoors to flood into the space. The strategic placement of awning windows fixed windows and tilt and turn windows promotes intentional airflow throughout the home.
W. Pearsall Construction Inc.Nestled along the shore of Lake Michigan lies this modern and sleek outdoor living focused home. The intentional design of the home allows for views of the lake from all levels. The black trimmed floor-to-ceiling windows and overhead doors are subdivided into horizontal panes of glass, further reinforcing the modern aesthetic.
The rear of the home overlooks the calm waters of the lake and showcases an outdoor lover’s dream. The rear elevation highlights several gathering areas including a covered patio, hot tub, lakeside seating, and a large campfire space for entertaining.
This modern-style home features crisp horizontal lines and outdoor spaces that playfully offset the natural surrounding. Stunning mixed materials and contemporary design elements elevate this three-story home. Dark horinizoal siding and natural stone veneer are set against black windows and a dark hip roof with metal accents.
