Angela Todd Studios | Portland, OROur homes are ideally a reflection of the best stories of our lives telling about our interests, studies and travels. This sophisticated couple came from different backgrounds. She was of Japanese decent and grew up in Southern California, and he came from across the pond in Great Britain. Each time we visited the couple during our time together, they would welcome our visit with English tea and an assortment of goodies. Their antique artwork and original decorative pieces held many stories and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about them. Our finished work together highlighted their immense charm, poise and grace – and their love of fine finishes, layered patterns and textures, and traditional timeless style.

Back To Back InteriorsCreating the flow of the house we continued the use of the solid hardwood flooring, Solid timber bifold doors to capture the bay views, creating a calm asian inspired feel we utalised the lime green tones to complement the hardwood timber floors. Asian decorative water feature matching black asian goddess statue helps to solidify the style and tranquillity, Lime Green table runner and matching cushions aids complementing the lime feature wall.

Careful consideration was taken to make sure that all the new spaces (kitchen, powder room, and fireplaces) flowed from a design perspective.
MATERIAL SELECTIONS
The homeowners selected custom manufactured cabinetry with rift cut oak veneer plywood in a custom gray finish with shaker door styles. The island countertop is Cambria Devon and the perimeter is Ceasarstone Raven with an undermount sink.

Part modern and part traditional, the project sports an abundance of natural Birch trim, stained to match 80 year-old Birch cabinets in other parts of the house. ArchventilSmart Apartment B2 sviluppato all’interno della “Corte del Tiglio”, un progetto residenziale composto da 5 unità abitative, ciascuna dotata di giardino privato e vetrate a tutta altezza e ciascuna studiata con un proprio scenario cromatico. Le tonalità del B2 nascono dal contrasto tra il caldo e il freddo. Il rosso etrusco estremamente caldo del living viene “raffreddato” dal celeste chiarissimo di alcuni elementi. Ad unire e bilanciare il tutto interviene la sinuosità delle linee.
