Rooms progress and change over time just like we do. What makes this space beautiful is its simple elegance. Fun Christopher Mouldin lighting hovers above you as you repose in this luxurious chaise lounge. Beautiful open brick, plenty of natural lighting in the day and one big mirror to echo the romantic lighting at night. Enjoy! Compliments of Atlanta designer MaRae Simone. “Glass is one of the most dominant materials in the house, from the Crittall screens to the toughened glass on the gangways upstairs, and the skylights. As a result, hardly any of the existing spaces are walled in completely.” http://www.domusnova.com/properties/buy/2056/2-bedroom-house-kensington-chelsea-north-kensington-hewer-street-w10-theo-otten-otten-architects-london-for-sale/

The living, dining, and kitchen opt for views rather than walls. The living room is encircled by three, 16’ lift and slide doors, creating a room that feels comfortable sitting amongst the trees. Because of this the love and appreciation for the location are felt throughout the main floor. The emphasis on larger-than-life views is continued into the main sweet with a door for a quick escape to the wrap-around two-story deck.

Located near the foot of the Teton Mountains, the site and a modest program led to placing the main house and guest quarters in separate buildings configured to form outdoor spaces. With mountains rising to the northwest and a stream cutting through the southeast corner of the lot, this placement of the main house and guest cabin distinctly responds to the two scales of the site. The public and private wings of the main house define a courtyard, which is visually enclosed by the prominence of the mountains beyond. At a more intimate scale, the garden walls of the main house and guest cabin create a private entry court. A concrete wall, which extends into the landscape marks the entrance and defines the circulation of the main house. Public spaces open off this axis toward the views to the mountains. Secondary spaces branch off to the north and south forming the private wing of the main house and the guest cabin. With regulation restricting the roof forms, the structural trusses are shaped to lift the ceiling planes toward light and the views of the landscape.
