Previously unused, the height of the Alcoves provided the opportunity for additional storage and a slightly more unique arrangement. An office nook was created in the right hand side to meet the need for this occasional activity within the apartment. A balance of compartments felt appropriate, as it is likely that some of the belongings will change.

La tranche de ce mur a été peint en noir afin de donner un côté graphique à la séparation des deux espaces.
Le mobilier existant a pris place dans le nouveau salon.
Les plinthes ont été changées, les murs repeints.
Le jaune choisi pour les murs est une couleur chaude et changeante selon les lumières de la journée.
Quelques ajustements sont encore à faire, les luminaires sont en cours d'acheminement.

Ovation Design BuildThe family room used to be dark and was overwhelmed by a floor-to-ceiling red brick fireplace. A gas fireplace insert was added to a cultured stone fireplace. The fireplace was not centered on the wall, so three new windows and a long mantle were added to balance the wall. Vern Uytake, photographer. Sandy Hendricks, designer.
