Birchwood Construction CompanyCamp Wobegon is a nostalgic waterfront retreat for a multi-generational family. The home's name pays homage to a radio show the homeowner listened to when he was a child in Minnesota. Throughout the home, there are nods to the sentimental past paired with modern features of today.
The five-story home sits on Round Lake in Charlevoix with a beautiful view of the yacht basin and historic downtown area. Each story of the home is devoted to a theme, such as family, grandkids, and wellness. The different stories boast standout features from an in-home fitness center complete with his and her locker rooms to a movie theater and a grandkids' getaway with murphy beds. The kids' library highlights an upper dome with a hand-painted welcome to the home's visitors.
Throughout Camp Wobegon, the custom finishes are apparent. The entire home features radius drywall, eliminating any harsh corners. Masons carefully crafted two fireplaces for an authentic touch. In the great room, there are hand constructed dark walnut beams that intrigue and awe anyone who enters the space. Birchwood artisans and select Allenboss carpenters built and assembled the grand beams in the home.
Perhaps the most unique room in the home is the exceptional dark walnut study. It exudes craftsmanship through the intricate woodwork. The floor, cabinetry, and ceiling were crafted with care by Birchwood carpenters. When you enter the study, you can smell the rich walnut. The room is a nod to the homeowner's father, who was a carpenter himself.
The custom details don't stop on the interior. As you walk through 26-foot NanoLock doors, you're greeted by an endless pool and a showstopping view of Round Lake. Moving to the front of the home, it's easy to admire the two copper domes that sit atop the roof. Yellow cedar siding and painted cedar railing complement the eye-catching domes.
BEARprogettiIl camino trifacciale è visibile da qualsiasi punto dell'abitazione. In alto è possibile invece percepire come il soppalco sia concepito come una estensione dello spazio del soggiorno e come il parapetto in cavi metallici assolva alla sua funzione in modo estremamente discreto.

Pristine Renovations, Inc.The interior of this home features wood textured concrete walls, giving it a clean modern look.
We are responsible for all concrete work seen. This includes the entire concrete structure of the home, including the interior walls, stairs and fire places. We are also responsible for the structural concrete and the installation of custom concrete caissons into bed rock to ensure a solid foundation as this home sits over the water. All interior furnishing was done by a professional after we completed the construction of the home.

分譲地内でのプライバシー確保のためファサードには開口部があまりなく、
どのあたりに何の部屋があるか想像できないようにしています。
外壁には経年変化を楽しめるレッドシダーを採用。
年月でシルバーグレーに変化してくれます。
リビングには3.8ｍの長さのソファを作り付けで設置。
ソファマットを外すと下部は収納になっており、ブランケットや子供のおもちゃ収納に。
そのソファの天井はあえて低くすることによりソファに座った時の落ち着きが出るようにしています。
天井材料は、通常下地材として使用するラワンべニアを使用。
前々からラワンの木目がデザインの一部になると考えていました。
玄関の壁はフレキシブルボード。これも通常化粧には使わない材料です。
下地材や仕上げ材など用途にこだわることなく、素材のいろいろな可能性デザインのポイントとしました。
Main Street Custom Homes & RemodelingCreating a home that was warm and inviting, where large family gatherings could take place, was an important element to the house design. The rooms were personalized to reflect the homeowners’ world travels with distinctive color palettes and unique touches including the installation of an ornamental porch swing in the breakfast nook. Additionally, the homeowner’s aging mother stays with them for extended periods throughout the year so safe, comfortable and accessible spaces were built to accommodate her. During the ground breaking ceremony, not only did we toast the occasion with mimosas, but we enjoyed a new experience with a Hindu Bhoomi Puja ritual, which literally means, the worship (Puja) of the land (Bhoomi). We were honored to be a part of this very interesting ceremony.
Jill Nelson Design ServiceThe client is a part-time actor and had a lot of movie memorabilia he wanted to hang. So I dedicated one wall displaying his public image. In addition the client had custom coffee table he had made that had been on a box for years.
Bolen DesignsRustic industrial living room. This project included adding three faux beams to the living room, casing out the existing windows, wainscoting, a coffered ceiling in the kitchen, refinishing a 200 year-old-farm table, custom furnishings, paint, florals and accessories.
