Our bespoke staircase was designed meticulously with the joiner and steelwork fabricator. The wrapping Beech Treads and risers and expressed with a shadow gap above the simple plaster finish. Our brief for this new monolithic staircase was to look more like a piece of art than a staircase. The staircase sits in a Grade 2 listed building and complements the period interior beautifully! The once old makeshift staircase which accessed the former servant’s quarters of the property was transformed to give them access to the loft space which they had totally renovated. After sitting down with the Donohoe’s and looking through mood boards, we came up with this design and colour wash. The substrate of the staircase was made from solid oak with our new arctic white wash finish, giving it a clean, fresh Scandinavian look. What do you think? Photo credit: Matt Cant

This elegant staircase balustrade features a simple boss detail to the spindles and was finished in a custom in house, hand mixed dark bronze paint. The convex metal handrail was finished in the same paint for a sleek, modern feel.

Rénovation partielle d’une maison du XIXè siècle, dont les combles existants n’étaient initialement accessibles que par une échelle escamotable. Afin de créer un espace nuit et bureau supplémentaire dans cette bâtisse familiale, l’ensemble du niveau R+2 a été démoli afin d’être reconstruit sur des bases structurelles saines, intégrant un escalier central esthétique et fonctionnel, véritable pièce maitresse de la maison dotée de nombreux rangements sur mesure. La salle d’eau et les sanitaires du premier étage ont été entièrement repensés et rénovés, alliant zelliges traditionnels colorés et naturels. Entre inspirations méditerranéennes et contemporaines, le projet Cavaré est le fruit de plusieurs mois de travail afin de conserver le charme existant de la demeure, tout en y apportant confort et modernité.
