Britannia Residence Kitchen Renovation
What was once a too small family room that didn’t work for a professional couple with three growing kids, became a stunning, bright modern kitchen. With the addition of extra space (think major addition/renovation), we swapped the kitchen and family room, relocated a bathroom into the new mudroom and opened up the back wall with large windows to flood the space with light.
Inspiration came in the form of a photo the client had found years before in Alberta Home magazine. We were able to show the article to our custom cabinet maker which enabled us to communicate her dream visually and turn it into reality. We tweaked the details in things like the layout, finishes and lighting to make it unique to the client and the result is pretty awesome! What once was a very dated, cheap white melamine kitchen became this modern, bright, highly functional kitchen that the clients loves. It works far better for their lifestyle and is a really lovely space to be in!
