Contemporary 2

Minimalism was the key to this design and injecting elements of color and texture brought this Rossmoor kitchen remodeling project the flair that you see. Rather than demolishing out the soffit we reworked it to create volume in the space. By doing so, it delineated the rooms and added a feeling of intimacy. We used Radio RA lighting controls from Lutron to control the lighting scenes and help set the mood when entertaining. Honed quartz countertops by Caesarstone gave the desired look as well as providing a durable surface to work upon. A floating glass counter was incorporated for dining and socializing and is supported by small contemporary metal brackets. Tall pull out pantries were used for storage in the limited space and met the clients’ requirements. The largest challenge was locating the dog’s food and water bowls in the kitchen and hiding it when not in use. This was cleverly done by creating an area in a cabinet with retractable doors that closed the area off when not in use. Whatever the challenge Le Gourmet Kitchen will have the solution.
