High Plains Desert Garden
As the summer peaks and turns to fall, the tufted wheat-grass becomes a color feature in the rock garden. The reestablishment of the high desert short grass prairie continues. Simple rock circles and careful timing of spring and fall plantings are starting to pay off. This picture is in late summer of the 2nd year.
