Natural Oak Staircase

Natural understated oak treads, risers and landing nosing. The lower staircase section is an open helical form rising from the ground floor to a landing. Treads are set slightly back giving a slightly overhanging nose for a subtly traditional effect in keeping with the property. The treads and risers are supported on slim, curved mild steel stringers set in from the stair edges to give lightness to the structure. Handforged and formed steel uprights provide an organic looking balustrade whilst handrails are smoothly curved forms, originating with slender, tapered newels at the ground floor, spliced with leather before continuing up the stair and around landing edges.
