July 2015 - The pitched roof is now being made waterproof ahead of works to tile with 100 year old handmade plain clay tiles which will compliment the faced brickwork, constructed using new Kingswood Orange Multi faced brickwork, bonded in a highly decorative Flemish Bond. Note the construction of the modular unit chimney, (Schiedel Isokern ABSOLUT XPERT passivhaus certified chimney system) a fantastic new invention that enables all waste gases from the woodburner in the lounge to be both supplied with fresh air from the roof and the waste gases discharged using a balanced system, wholly independent of the air supply within the dwelling - Photo by Dr C G Ratcliffe
