The old rustic row house Interiors
The home is for a family for four individuals with diverse tastes and lifestyles. It is not a kind of apartment or a typical duplex home, it is a kind of old row house which clients wanted to renovate. The family had different styles and specific choices of sustainability, materials, colors, open spaces and European influenced design. The house has tall heighted ceiling which we took the opportunity to transform into the spaces like library, studio bedroom. The most important thing which me and my co-architect Mayank Chourasiya kept in mind was the requirements of the family and to capture their needs and moments. The space as per their requirements was limited, but they took the opportunity to experiment with specially designed multi usable furniture like work desk in the master bedroom is also used as dressing table, the window is transformed into the bay window which offers reading corner in master bedroom and daughter’s bedroom, two mezzanines are introduced to create library and studio bedroom spaces which almost increase the space by adding 2 rooms. Each space is uniquely designed to cater to individual member of the family, to provide personalized living experience.
