Unique kitchen with solid oak front panels and an antique finish
The kitchen in this large modern house had to be unique with all the cooking capability desired by a dedicated and expert cook. The main cabinetry door is an in-frame raised panel door with beading on the frame and in the panel of the solid Oak fronts. The fronts and panels were spray painted and then hand burnished to give a blackened antique finish to the edges and panels. The island was the focal point of this impressive kitchen and had to be designed around an existing structural pillar that was cloaked in matching panels. The corbels and pilasters were used on the ends of the island and at the ends of tall runs to cloak the cabinetry and accentuate the ornate finish.
The large WOLF range cooker had a canopy surround built above it to hide the modern extractor. Next to the sink, tall units house the bank of 4 appliances and next to the fridge freezer we created a walk-in pantry for dry foods.
The dresser on the opposite side of the kitchen provided extra storage with a larder on the left, display cabinet in the centre and a full height freezer on the right.
