Wincoma Refurbishing
The homeowner was looking for Guilford Green body, Esses Green trim, and a Classic burgundy door. The architect had a different vision.
Recognizing the French influence of the original Tudor design, the Architect selected a color palette based on red window sashes, a matching red entry door, a dirty mushroom beige for the stucco and wavy edge clapboards, with a slightly darker mushroom for window trim and rake boards. Timberline roof shingles in Heather Blend were selected to complement the earth tones of the original stone.
The warm red that was selected for the Eagle replacement window sashes was also specified for the front and side doors.
The whole idea was to create a warm palette that avoided a lot of fussy contrast, other than the warm red popping. Very French.
