I assume it is easier to have the pool and hot tub together? But this wouldn't be a bad idea either... (hot tub closer to the house as we have discussed.

I wouldn't locate the hot tub this way... in the past, we would have wanted it raised like this so we would have a water feature, but I don't know if we need a water feature with the ocean right there?!?

Also good and simple. I know there needs to be a way to get out in the deep end... this has a shelf all along one side, that might be a good way?
