This idea could really work for us - we have the same set-up on that wall. I like how simple and plain it is - except we have such tall ceilings, which would detract from this design. This design is for low ceilings.

You could use another design of tiles. These tiles are made of gypsum - sounds as if there is a safety issue if they get too hot. - But how about SAFE tiles - all the way to the ceiling ?
