“Roger and his team worked closely with my husband and me to create the home of our dreams. I had a vision for many years and they listened carefuly, made realistic and valuable suggestions, and drew my dream better than I could have dreamed it. The design for our lake waterfront lot was a happy blend of my desire for sleek, modern with the HOAs idea of contemporary. We fit in nicely with the neighborhood, but have sleek linear shapes and smooth textures. We were building on a very difficult lake front lot with extremely steep terrain and natural gulleys that held standing water. Roger and his team worked with engineers to make sure we lived "on the water, not in the water", creating a design that allowed the graders to push the natural running water around the house and down the hill rather than into the house. This gave us the wonderful opportunity to have access bridges rather than sidewalks - a unique and very eye pleasing addition. Throughout the design they kept true to my vision while helping us add the features necessary to age in place. It is a beautiful design and we will live here forever. Roger Layman Architecture made the experience enjoyable and low stress. We would recommend this team to anyone who wants to build heir dream home.”

“I met Will over 10 years ago when he was the project Architect on a complicated multi million dollar oceanfront home my company was building. This is not an easy position to fill and he did an excellent job. We formed a good relationship and for more than a decade Will has done design and CAD drafting work for my company. I have found him to have superior design skills, takes direction very well, completes his work on time and has respect for budget constraints. Most recently we have been working together on the shop drawings for all of the interiors of an apartment in Manhattan, NY. This has been a difficult and demanding project and as usual Will has performed very well. More over, I have found him to have an exemplary work ethic and solid character. We have worked together many times on an hourly basis and I always felt that his compensation was fair, justified and reasonable.”

“Skip and Matt designed our new home, which is nearing completion. We are new to this, having never built before. We wanted to select both an architect and a builder who could bring our ideas to life, while at the same time adding their own creative vision and expertise. Skip and Matt exceeded our expectations. Easy to say, but what I mean specifically is: - They are truly collaborative. We provided dozens of pictures, ideas, materials, must-haves, must-not-haves...you name it. The very first set of drawings that came from this collaboration was so close to the vision we had, even though we couldn't articulate it at the time. - They are incredibly hard -working. They take pride in what they do, and will keep working at even the smallest detail until we are all satisfied. - They really listen, and this is reflected in the questions they ask and the ideas they delivered. - They worked very well with our builder.
