“After spending 4-5 hours trying to find a certified aluminium roof inspector, I lucked into Apex. Their inspector Burt arrived two days later, on time, did an efficient review of the roof, took pictures of the maintenance that needed doing, and I had a complete report in my inbox the same evening. Apparently roof inspections are not cheap, so prepare yourself.”

“Derek has worked for me twice in the last ten years. Once designing and building a small one room cottage on an unserviced gulf island and recently designing and project supervising the building of a dormer extension on my cabin at Whistler. He is exceptionally resourceful and adaptive, especially considering the challenges of building on a remote island. His designs are creative, innovative and in keeping with the surroundings. While he has strong feelings about the best form and use of space he is very good at adapting to what the client wishes. Working with Derek is a collaborative experience. My contractor agreed that he was good to work with. He meets his design deadlines but construction deadlines are in the hands of the contractor. His budgeting could be more accurate but that is difficult when the client keeps suggesting changes after the design has been agreed upon. With his design skills he creates spaces that are a pleasure to live in. The following comments refer to the cabin at Whistler.”
