“Derrick is an extraordinary drafter whose skill level distinguishes him above his colleagues. After our initial consult, he was able to draft in a timely manner what I had verbalized. His cognitive skills were adept at understanding my architectural needs, and his keen interpersonal skills made him pleasant to work with during the design process. After Derrick provided a set of working plans, we thoroughly discussed each page of the set, and he was very open to incorporating changes, yielding an amazing final design. I proudly share his work with my family and friends, and they are impressed by the quality of the product, the details presented on each sheet and particularly the great room section, having a vaulted ceiling, accent mood lighting and sleek furniture, which captures the essence of warmth, comfort and style; a space one would want to spend time with those we care about. “After having seen several projects, residential and commercial, McLelland Architecture had completed, we decided to go with the expertise of Jon McLelland. What attracted me most were innovative ideas, an interest in sustainability and LEED, and the proven talent to combine older historical buildings with a touch of modern. We received expert drawings, as well as great recommendations for our residential kitchen remodel, a major undertaking in an older home that required the removal of load bearing walls and complete reconfiguration of the space. McLelland Architecture provided fantastic services, and we would hire them again in a heart beat - highly recommended!”

“We are completely satisfied with the level of service we received from Home Design Works. Our Tennessee lake home was in need of a face lift and an extensive remodel/addition. Home Design Works had been highly recommended to us by a local builder. They certainly did not disappoint. Matt Lawler took time to completely understand our lifestyle, needs and desires for our home (functionally and aesthetically). Our project presented unique challenges with property setback limitations. His creative architectural ideas, vision and experience were indispensable in making our dream become reality while working within the constraints of our property. We are now living in our recently transformed home and could not be happier with what we have ended up with.”
