There has been a lot to handle and throughout the build Jaime has been a great communicator. “Vanessa is amazing! So much so that I've given her the nickname "Sydney's Best", abbreviated from "Sydney's Best Architect". We have undertaken 2 renovations and Vanessa was the architect on both occasions. In fact, we delayed our 2nd renovation to coincide with her return to Australia so she could be on-site for the job. Vanessa has a relaxed and friendly manner that belies her expertise and talent. Whilst her ideas and recommendations are outstanding, Vanessa's great strength is her ability to listen to and understand what we were hoping to achieve and then to make it happen. Twelve months on from completion and we continue to be blown away with how happy we are with Vanessa's design. We love the home that Vanessa has designed for us and truly couldn't be happier. The wonderful thing is that it isn't just a home for adults or a home for kids. Vanessa has designed a home that is to be lived in and everyone living in the house loves it. The design takes in so many considerations - it's a home for entertaining and a home for living; it accommodates people having their own spaces but also areas for people to interact; the space is utilised extremely well with the roof and under deck areas utilised to create maximum storage and an additional room. The design is very clever. Additionally, Vanessa has a great approach to working with the builder and sub-contractors and whilst you often hear about builder / architect difficulties Vanessa's approach and way of working with people ensures a happy and positive outcome for all parties. “Link was extremely helpful and understanding of our requirements in finalising our design. We too a long time to understand our block, light, sun and the family's requirements of the house. We wanted something that was not the same as every other project house. (note "house" not "home"!). Something that was single level, had a separate dwelling (Granny flat) for rental income and that met out teenage family requirements for separate spaces to get away but the heart of the house being the place where we very much spend most of our time together. Light was extremely important as well as indoor / outdoor level living with a tropical Balinese feel. We now have an amazing home with feature spotted gum box and amazing highlight windows around the whole house. The deck connects main living/kitchen areas to the pool via two enormous commercial black bifold doors that open across the back and down the side to expose both side to the outdoors. Link was instrumental in bringing our ideas together and we managed to build it all for the price of a generic 2 storey project home. A unique architectural design and the gem of our entire area.
