The requirement was to design a two and single story extension in a sympathetic yet current way. Modernity of space was essential. The incorporation of several levels to provide increased head height and tie in with the existing building was to be a giant three dimensional jig saw puzzle. Christian took this on with both hands and I was confident that he would provide us with a cohesive and balanced result. So it proved. Obviously there were tweaks along the way, largely to satisfy the planning authority. Christian dealt with these imposed changes in a most professional manner and through him the end result is highly successful.
