“The company I work for recently hired ACM Design to redesign a small office space into a room for client meetings. Our goal was to mimic the atmosphere of a residential space from within the walls of an office building. “I have a mountain home with a multi level metal roof and a large wraparound deck. I wanted to screen in a significant part of the deck to create a space with a tongue and groove wood ceiling covered by a metal roof that would blend into our existing structure. Two highly recommended screening companies turned us down stating there were too many roof angles to accomplish the job with any quality result. After some research I hired Kirk Bowden, architect and owner of Bowden Environments LLC. Kirk is a talented professional. He took his time, paid close attention to our needs and goals and was a pleasure to work with. Kirk created a design that would give us the functional space we desired while making sure it would blend in with the current structure to look as if it was built with the original home. We came to Toby with a set budget and he did an excellent job of accommodating our budget while also keeping the important aspects of the design in play. Toby has a wonderfully creative mind and is not afraid to design a plan which is forward thinking while also based in traditional concepts used by his predecessors such as Bauhaus and Frank Lloyd Wright. Toby does a great job of considering the environment in building a "green" home while also taking into consideration how to incorporate elements such as sun and moonlight into the interior of the home.
