“We had no prior relationship with Oakwood, but were impressed with the quality of staff that we dealt with, from the first contact through to the finished renovation.
We needed a variance to be allowed to obtain the proper permits and John Liptak, owner of Oakwood was instrumental in obtaining this on our behalf.
Without his personal interest in our renovation, we would not have proceeded with the project. John also gave us the benefit of his years of experience with various suggestions for our room.
Our design specialist was wonderful, offering many unique ideas for us to consider, always offering various solutions to meet our budget. We particularly love the windows and paneling in our great room.
The quality of the work was top notch. The wood craftsman assigned to our project did an exceptional job on the ceiling beams and the paneling. Dave’s work makes this room so beautiful and unique.
The project manager was very knowledgeable and worked on our behalf to make sure that all the little details were dealt with to our satisfaction. Trent was very responsive to our needs and concerns.
We can speak to Oakwood’s integrity and professionalism. They wanted the addition to be a room that we would be take pleasure and pride in for many years to come. We truly marvel at the room each day when we enter it.

“Diane did an amazing job transforming our house into the perfect home! When we sold our house this past spring everyone kept commenting on the amazing design!
Diane also did an amazing job managing the project - so much that I kept saying "doing a reno is easy"! I realize it was easy as Diane was carrying all my stress. She managed the timelines and the budget brilliantly!
And of course - she was very easy and professional. I was always confident with her advice - I knew it was well researched and thought through! I also knew that the contracts she provided and the payments she approved were done correctly - and I didn't have to worry about issues with contractors.

The house was a new build in an urban area, which required the demolition of my existing old house and a completely new redesign on a limited budget. The firm provided complete design and project management services and was very knowledgeable about the whole process. Their design team listened closely to my needs and the resulting design was an accurate reflection of the scoping conversations we had.. 25:8 sourced the contractors for the job and actively and competently managed them to ensure the house was completed to a high standard, on time and on budget. I moved in with my family in July 2013 and the house has already been featured in a local design magazine. I couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend this company.”
