“Richard and his staff were a pleasure to deal with. He was able, after some mild beatings, to assimilate our ideas and add his own to create a very useful amalgam. We still enjoy his input and appreciation of space. Our error was failing to hire him to supervise construction, in addition to designing the building.”

“Ely was excellent in eveything he does. He is very prompt and we loved working with him every step of the way. He came up with a great studio design for our 2nd location. He quickly drafted three different proposal after taking detailed measurements of the place. All designs were amazing. Once we finalize on the deisgn, he quickly put our permit application in with City of Portland for approval. The process was very efficient. He handled all steps of the process very professionally. We highly recommend working with him.”

“I have had the pleasure of working with Erich on several projects throughout the years. On building projects, hundreds of problems will arise and how they are dealt with determines the true professionalism of an architect. Erich has never missed a beat on solving the problems with me on custom door and window orders and has come up with very creative solutions. It would simplify Erich's skills to just say he is detail oriented, he goes far beyond just details. He looks at the job as a whole and somehow manages to break every component down into sub assemblies and how they interact with each other. Not just how it's to be designed and built, but does the item work aesthetically in the overall design. Simply put, he is a pro, an absolute pro. “Pat did a fantastic job of designing a bump-out for my basement remodel to accommodate the new stairs I had to put in to meet code (very old house). I could not visualize what was going to be done to that part of my home and overall remodel until she walked me through the design, and then ---boom, it hit me! Light, windows, beautiful space utilization and best of all ---it looks like it has always been a part of the house ---does not look like a add-on at all. She was wonderful to work with, listened to what I wanted, and then provided a design to exceed what I thought I could have. She provided great drawings for the contractor and was just really good to work with. I have recommended her to many people and just can't say enough good things about her work and abilities!”

“We're really enjoying working with the Giulietti/Schouten team designing our new beach home. When we were searching for an architect, we looked at portfolios from many firms and were struck by the breadth and creativity of their work. The combination of artistry, creativity, flexibility, practicality, and attention to detail they bring to their work is really impressive, and has resulted in a design much better than we envisioned. It's particularly impressive when the complicated site and extreme environment of our oceanfront setting are taken into account. We're very happy with the project and feel fortunate to have found this great group of people to work with! Follow-on now that the project is finished: Our home turned out beautifully. They were extremely helpful during the construction phase, helping us with the multitude of decisions and working with our builder to assure every detail was as it was envisioned. We were really lucky to have their team to work with! We give them our highest recommendation.”

“I connected with John to help restore our newly-purchased 1967 single-floor ranch cottage in Portland, OR. Even during our first interaction, John had a calm, approachable demeanor, and listen thoroughly to my design ideas. He followed through on listening with strong visualization through 3D renderings that made me feel as if I was standing in my home, before we even began construction. His realistic renderings helped us make some necessary design changes to improve the flow of the layout before investing in construction, which ended up being a massive cost-saving for us. Throughout the schematic design, design development, and construction documents phases, John had fantastic communication and was on time, even early, with his deliverables. We will 1000% utilize spacehouse's services again for our next home design project!”
