The project's expectations grew when we met Elida who gave us her insight to design a wine cellar and completely finish the construction of the basement and garage. This required extensive demolition, foundation repair, new heating system, and a very technical architectural design. Elida managed the entire project. Every detail was presented after careful research and listening to our requirements. We were extremely pleased with the results. Working with Elida was a wonderful experience. “I'm the fortunate and proud owner of two custom homes designed by Greg Dedona. One is in Mill Valley, Marin County (1999, remodel) and the other is in McCloud, Siskiyou County (2013, tear-down & full new construction). Greg's mastery of design, materials and construction processes created two stunning, unique, buildable and affordable homes. His ability to creatively merge our family's goals, an evolving joint vision for the houses and the highly different administrative processes of these two sharply contrasting counties was something I believe very few (if any?) other architects could achieve.
From the most rural contractor resources in Siskiyou to the most experienced and high-end pros in Marin, Greg demonstrated an ability to forge loose and disparate bands of craftsmen into a cohesive team. His leadership was respected by everyone involved - strikingly unusual in the often friction-plagued relationships one sees between contractor and architect.
Perhaps most creatively, our McCloud home made great use of owner-procured (i.e., salvaged!) locally sourced, recycled materials - 100 yr old wood floors, replaned structural doug fir for interior trim, refurbished Wedgewood kitchen stoves etc.. In sharp contrast to architects who often scorn such an approach, Greg was invaluable in his advice on how to make these materials work. He helped us source many of them through his amazing array of contacts not just in Marin, but from Tahoe to the Oregon border.
Highest possible rating...were there a lifetime achievement award for residential architecture in California, Greg Dedona has already earned it.”

“Impluvium listened to my spiritual desires to create a contemporary space that made guests feel instantly welcome while providing function for everyday life. I described a desire that my home subliminally feel like a space where East meets West. Many visitors comment on how "happy", comfortable, and Zen like my home is. Mission accomplished thanks to Tim Haley!
The project involved an extensive remodel of my 3 bedroom/2 bath townhouse inclusive of footprint expansions (addition of ~75 sq. ft.), relocation of all plumbing and electrical, removal of demising wall, new windows, doors and skylights, and creative solutions designed to maximize space. In particular, Impluvium not only designed an aesthetically beautiful ceiling in the great room, but it also provides layers of light for multiple uses at all times of the day and night, functionally it is a chase which delivers the in-home sound system and HVAC system, and it masks the new structural beam required when the demising wall was removed.
The accuracy and completeness of Impluvium's design and architectural drawings were instrumental in expediting HOA approvals and permits.”

“My husband and I were in search of the perfect house that had to satisfy both our needs. The only thing we seemed to agree on was that the location had to be in Marin County. After almost 7 long years of renting, we finally found the perfect location on a street we were both in love with but unfortunately the house was far from what either one of us liked as it was way too small for our family of four and the one bathroom was the size of a phone booth! We then searched for an architect that would be able to give us both what we wanted and could see our vision and blend it together. After interviewing several different architects and feeling like they didn’t “get us” we moved on and were fortunate enough to have met Eric who was a referral from our real estate agent. He listened and really understood the look and feel each one of us wanted. When we saw the plans he designed for us, we were beyond delighted! He took our 1400 square foot home and turned it into a 3500 sqft. dream home that has everything we both had always wanted in the most creative and family friendly way. He put a lot of thought and care into our house and we couldn’t be happier with his brilliance, creativity, work ethic, honesty, and dedication.”

Her advice was very professional and precise. Because of Yuki’s aesthetic design style, our dream bathroom turned out to be far better than we expected. We couldn’t go through the remodeling process without her.
