A short time after the meeting the plans were shown to us and they were perfect! We are now a few months into our renovation and Mr. Phipps has been available for questions and changes as needed. “We used John to conceive, design and manage a total gut rehab of a garage apartment in St. Petersburg. His expertise and talents go far beyond just drawing up plans. He really made this space functional, inviting and a fun place to spend time for our friends and family, as well as enhancing its income generating potential as a rental unit. I have done several remodeling and addition projects on our residences over the years, but none went more smoothly and produced results I am as happy with as the project on which John worked. His personality is warm, friendly and easy to work with. He is a great listener and was able to translate our wants, needs and desires into reality. I could not more highly recommend any architect / designer if you are in need of the services he provides. I would never consider working with anyone else.”

Innovative habitat architecture + design

“We bought an home that had been built in the 1950's in Tampa, Florida. It had been added to by previous owners and was a stylistic mess. It was very run down too. I hired the Architect Bradley Smith to renovate the home. He did an amazing job in sprucing it up and making it look more cohesive. The exterior was beautiful after he was finished renovating it. He was very careful about details too. He has wonderful taste. He was easy to work with and we worked well together. He stayed within the budget limits and was very professional. I highly reccomend him.”

“George Merlin and his associate Nabil Raad designed and managed the construction of our dream home in Sarasota. We're so very thrilled with the end product. George and Nabil are incredibly talented architects. They listened to our ideas and needs and came up with an awesome design that is gorgeous in and out as well as very functional and livable. Whenever we had a design issue, George and Nabil came up with very creative and aesthetically pleasing solutions, such as a hidden door in theater, hidden outdoor motorized screens and shutters, etc.. I can't recall one item that George was not able to come up with some kind of solution to accommodate our wishes. Our project was complicated and took couple of years to finish. George was instrumental in navigating the most convoluted regulatory and permitting landscape.. His knowledge of the local building codes was critical in allowing us to realize our vision.. He also helped us reach resolutions to many crises that arose during our project. We felt that he kept our best interest in mind at each stage of project. We could not have asked for a more ethical and professional staff to design our home. We have no reservation whatsoever in recommending George and Nabil, we already have!”
