“Elma Gardner is a very talented designer and a fun person to work with. We originally contacted her to help us with the kitchen and bathroom cabinetry design and install for our new home. She offers all the design help needed to complete a project. First, she presented a couple of different layouts for us to consider. The designs were fantastic. Then she scheduled appointments for us to meet with her at several different showrooms including: lighting, plumbing, appliance, and tile showrooms. She listened to what we wanted and helped us make good choices. She was available to meet at the job site during construction.
Elma runs a great business; she is very organized, efficient and accommodating. She gets things done on time and she is easy to contact by phone, email or in person. The cabinetry company that she works with makes high quality, beautiful cabinets.”

She provided 3 conceptual designs that were all great options. After I chose one she guided me through the decisions I had to make and the resulting design was a significant improvement. I now have a beautiful kitchen. Kathy was a pleasure to work with.
Notes: the project cost below is for Sogno services only. The construction and appliances cost significant more. Architecture services were approximately 10% of the total. The photos attached are by homeowner and include some old furniture that will be replaced.”

“I just completed a complete remodel of my San Francisco Edwardian flat and build out my basement. Joanne and her staff did a fantastic job. It started out as a kitchen bath remodel, but once the design process started expanded to include every room as we discussed how different spaces would be used and what I didn't like about the current space after living with it for 20yrs. Might as well do it right! Joanne's attention to detail, listening, and high ethical standards are unmatched. She would listen in the meetings and ask questions then come back with some ideas and sketches to get my reaction. She knew what I wanted without me even knowing it. She was also sensitive to the project budget which was important. I was able to complete the project within my budget.
She was also key to working with the general contractor. She brought with her experience in projects of my scope / scale and working with different contractors and even her own remodel. This helped immensely.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with Koch Architects again.”

We wanted more openness and access from the rear of our house to our back yard. The result is stunning – truly an indoor/outdoor living space. Upon the completion of our project, Bill and we were honored to win an award from the City of Piedmont for the Best Outdoor Living Area in 2011.
