“We have used Brooks Henderson/Henderson Building Group for two renovations at our home. We were extremely pleased both times. The first was a renovation in our daylight basement of a recreation room and bathroom. They gutted our rec room, creating a stone fireplace, book cases, tile floor, and completely renovated a bathroom adjacent to the space. The second was a renovation of an upstairs bath room, installing new floors, tub surround and cabinets and sinks. We also asked them to add crown moulding in bedrooms and study where there had been none before.”

“I hired Joe Roberts and Associates to do some much needed outside repairs, solve a major drainage problem, and create a patio and retaining wall to expand our outdoor living space. I am delighted with the results! Water drainage is no longer a problem, thanks to some very creative and attractive solutions. New chimneys were rebuilt to match existing brickwork. A crumbling retaining wall and outdated patio was reconfigured and has become our favorite place to enjoy the family. Joe listened to what I wanted and then worked out a design that was beyond my expectations, all with attention to details that I love. All work was handled professionally and promptly by Joe and his team.”

“Benham Builders was everything we expected to do a turnkey renovation of our kitchen. They referred us to a structural engineer who provided excellent drawings and engineered the new footings and beams that would be necessary to remove two walls and create one large kitchen/living space. The renovation involved re-configuring the entire space, moving a bathroom and all plumbing, gas, hvac and central vacuum lines, moving windows which entailed brick/stucco work, as well as moving the entire electrical panel and installing/refinishing hardwood floors throughout. Every subcontractor brought in by Benham Builders was extremely professional, knowledgeable and prompt; in many cases they called ahead to be sure it was a convenient time to come! Since I am a seasoned DIY-er, what I appreciated most about Benham Builders was they permitted me to do the work I felt I could handle, such as taking out the tile floor, installing the backsplash and contracting for the new cabinets, counter tops and appliances with suppliers I had selected. Jim Benham is an easy-going and incredibly knowledgeable contractor. He was always available in person or by phone to answer questions that came up or help us through a problem. We are absolutely delighted with the new space and would recommend Jim and his team in a heartbeat!”
