Mugs of tea, bowls of water for our dogs, humour, a great smell of oak and demonstration of their skill and passion sold Carpenter Oak to us more than any sales presentation could ever do. And a year or more later nothings changed, great on site, flexible with their designs, care for their products passionately and always get back to you. Highly recommended.”

“Having never undertaken building work before, we entered the process with some trepidation. A colleague strongly recommended HighSpec and from the outset it was clear they were the most professional of the 3 quoting companies. There was a very personal touch in Andrew’s meetings . We weren’t rushed at all and he was happy to guide us through the various complexities. The quote was clear and not littered with “provisional sums” seen in other estimates. This gave us confidence in choosing them. Ultimately the work did not increase in cost throughout the full 6 month project, apart from some additions we chose to make along the way (including underfloor bathroom heating – highly recommended!) We had extensive work done – a full loft conversion with en suite, and 2 additional bathrooms, plus new plumbing and electrics throughout. At all times, the whole team from HighSpec were friendly and respectful. We had a very open working relationship, in which we invited them to give views on our ideas, based on their experience. It was genuinely enjoyable having them in the house. They were great with our kids, and a pleasure to chat to during breaks in ours and their working schedules. We never once saw them start late, or down tools early. Hassan, Dave and Alex are clearly excellent craftsmen. We appreciated their perfectionism and attention to detail. “I am working with Honka on a chalet project in Cornwall and they have been extremely professional throughout the process. 3D visuals and 2D drawings have been produced at all stages and for all changes made so that we have been able to ensure that the building will meet our requirements. Choice of fixtures, fittings and finishes has been made clear and samples have been produced on request. The delivery and building program are on time and, as the cost is fixed, on budget. Excellent!”
