“Work done: Replaced floors in entire house. Repaired walls and framing and painted entire house. Did demo and helped remove old furniture, then helped return everything. Justin gave appropriate suggestions for repair, replacement, painting, decorating, etc. Justin and his crew, specifically John and Caleb were wonderful to work with. They were respectful and went out of their way to accommodate us. Justin has great knowledge about what needed to be done and spent a lot of time going over everything with us. He found issues we did not know were there and still kept everything within our budget. We had to live in the house while the construction was being done and Halcyon accommodated us every step of the way making sure we were as comfortable as possible. Justin helped us tremendously with decision options and consistently guided us in the good direction. We are still a work in progress and I highly recommend Halcyon.”

Entire building was resided. Work was accomplished in a professional manner and the worksite was cleaned up at the end of each work day and at the completion of the job. He cares about doing things right, and he hates wasting money -- an unbeatable combination. He is extremely knowledgeable about houses, both building & renovating, and he enjoys having an interesting problem to solve. Subcontractors were competent and well-supervised. Work proceeded in a timely manner, although I kept adding to the scope of the project so we didn't have a timetable in place. Toward the end of the job, my son became very ill in London and I was away for weeks at a time. This was never a problem, because I knew Bill would be looking after my interests while I was away, and consulting me as necessary when choices needed to be made.”

“The Smith & Robertson team designed and built a custom house for us at Wintergreen VA. We started in March, 2012 and finished in January, 2013. We had a great experience designing and building, and are very pleased with the final product. Glenn and Ron are easy to work with and have a can-do attitude. The design was exactly what we wanted. They were able to put our dream home on paper and make it work. They were very creative on where to save money on the project, but also how to include some of the perks we really wanted. The sub-contractors they hired were professional and, for the most part, on time. The building supplies that S & R insisted on using were top-notch. Our "green rating", a big focus for S & R, is a big plus to our new home. We were able to stay within budget. We would highly recommend this wonderful team for design/build.”
