“Matt Hanes and his son Dave did a terrific job on our remodel of a 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo in Silverado. Both men were a pleasure to work with. Matt handles the overall supervision of the work and Dave pays close attention to every detail of the project. In addition, Dave is a highly skilled cabinet maker and finish carpenter. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets were fully custom and beautifully made...and a very fair price. We were also very pleased with their internal team and the subs with whom they have relationships.
On many occasions during the course of our project, both Matt and Dave provided valuable input into the structural and well as the esthetic design elements. The finished product was greatly enhanced as a result of their suggestions.
Because we live in the East Bay we were not able to closely supervise their work but every stage was completed on time (or very nearly so), and the quality of their work was exceptional. And (importantly) there were no cost overruns and no billing surprises!”

“Ca Bear is the best, for so many reasons. The first project we did with them was a complete kitchen remodel December 2020. We took down walls, opened up our entire layout and had the best experience ever. A few things that stuck out to us:
The speed at which work was completed. So efficient, and that matters when you’re spending a lot of money.
Everyday ended with a shop vac sweep and our home was left as clean as it could possibly be.
The creative vision that Brenda had for us. I don’t have that lens so thank god for her!
The communication that Brenda provided us each day, we always knew what was happening and if there were any changes. Her management was key.
Our kitchen was completed 2.5 years ago now, and everyday we sit there and say, “we love our kitchen.” We just love it! After the kitchen we did a closet remodel, again, awesome. Salvador is an incredible wood worker and again, Brenda make the whole process so smooth.
A year ago we did a basement and laundry room conversion into a bedroom and laundry/full bathroom. We couldn’t be happier. Everything is still looking amazing, the quality of work is superb. We are so happy.

Took longer, but some of that was me with change orders. Made sure through the entire project we always had in inside toilet. Bid came in at the middle, still not cheap but the end result was worth it.”

“Shawn Aya of Aya Homes built the home that we bought. He built this house with a lot of quality in it. The workmanship was very good. The house has lot of upgrades that he put in the house. Some of the upgrades are 8 foot high insulated ceiling in the garage, a passive radon system, three-quarter inch stained solid wood floor, tray ceilings in all bedrooms, under kitchen cabinets LED lights, wider stairs to the basement, decora light switches to name a few. We built the house finished. Most of the upgrades he built into the house, we did not add them. We do not know anything about the project dates, costs, and deadlines.”
