“John started working with A Direct back in 2004! [woah! 10 years flew right by]. John is a fantastic carpenter, as well as a great person. From a customer's point of view, they always remark on how knowledgeable and patient he is. He truly takes pride in his work, and is very thorough from design to install on each job. We only recommend a handful of contractors to walk-in retail customers, and John/Colours Construction is definitely one of them.”

At the end of each work day, the contractor cleaned up all the debris and tools making it very easy to tolerate the construction phase.”

“Yankee remodeler was called to give a quote to find out how much a leak repair would cost. We had a contract to include taking off siding and to trace the leak. When one of the staff showed up and looked at the job he said it was not the siding but a pipe on the roof. They made the repair and worked great. Cost has 1/3 the original estimate. We had them come pack and repaint the ceiling where the leak had caused paint damage. Still less then the original estimate. They are coming back next month to replace the older windows in the house. I would HIGHLY recommend them.”

“Had major water damage from a plumbing issue. It was difficult to find a contract that wanted to come out and give an estimate. A coworker of mine had recommended Ted Nelson and his company. I gave him a call and he came out to survey the situation and give us an estimate. Having talked with a couple of other contractors, I felt very comfortable with the Nelson company. They were very professional, they showed up on time every time they said they would be coming out. They were efficient and cleaned up their mess at the end of the day every time they came out. .They did quality work, and we would Not hesitate to hire them again and highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to have work done on their home. “We hired Craft Design + Build to create, build and install custom storm windows for our c1837 home. As with most antique homes, each window was a different size and some weren't even "square" which required them to use extreme precision in measuring. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome! The windows look amazing. We strongly recommend Craft Design + Build for quality craftsmenship.”

“As an Interior Designer, I couldnt imagine working with anyone other than Gulick and Co. In Madison, CT. Peter's and mine were "right on" as far as the extensive renovation. Kitchen, bathrooms, walls down, ceilings vaulted, floors, colors, etc. We took an 80's condo and truly turned it into a fabulous unit like none here at Legend Hill. They were extremely neat, respectful, and on time. I hope that Peter and Travis Gulick and myself can do more projects in the future.”
