The finished construction compliments the character of our house and blends with our rocky cliff terrain while adding to the value of our outdoor living space and the value of our home. The team, architect, project manager, and carpenter, are experienced true craftsmen who care about their client and what they produce. They ensure that all services needed for them to complete excellent work in a timely way are in place. I will hire them again for our next project.”

“Removal of a large pine tree and stump gave us the opportunity to expand and reconfigure the front entrance deck and steps into our house. My son and I are competent with the carpentry but did not have the time, skills or prowess to dig footings or pour pads. In addition, there were other possible timing issues so I was looking for someone who might be willing to do some aspects of the project but not necessarily all. Matt and Connor of Creative Spaces were recommended to me by a neighbor. I called and Matt came over the next day. We discussed the project and Matt came back the following day with a quote for (1) piers and pad, (2) ledger board, (3) deck structure (without decking), and (4) the complete project. Not all companies are willing to take on only part of a project – it’s all or nothing. Based on costs and other factors, we elected to go with (1) and (2) from Creative Spaces and do the rest on our own. As a small (two-day) project, they were able to schedule it quickly and showed up as agreed. The work went smoothly. The workmanship was excellent and professional. Matt and Connor were a pleasure to have around and even provided helpful advice on aspects of the project they weren’t doing. I have no reservation recommending Matt and Connor of Creative Spaces!”

“Words don't suffice- Derek and his amazing crew absolutely TRANSFORMED our whole yard. We went from a nightmare plot with 50+ years of neglect and destruction to an absolute oasis in the city. A new retaining wall, a showpiece fence, a gorgeous pathway and driveway, perfect grass, and tasteful and beautiful plants galore (even 3 wonderful little apple trees!!)... it's our dream come true! When we bought the house, we knew there would be a lot of work to make the yard a safe and happy place for us and our kiddos, and Derek made the process as easy as it could have been. We leaned on him and his designer to help guide us in our many decisions, and we don't have a single regret. The project was well worth the money and we can't recommend him and his crew strongly enough. Seriously. “We hired MainStay Landscape to design and build a patio for our backyard. Prior to instillation, ground cover and a sloping lawn existed where the patio was to go. In addition there lived a perennial garden, surrounded by a short, Pennsylvania stone wall in the middle of the backyard. We wanted the garden removed and the Pennsylvania stone incorporated into the patio retaining wall We also asked that he build around a mature Cherry Tree that provides privacy for the home. Jay designed a 480 square foot, bluestone patio, boarded on one side by a Pennsylvania stone, dry stack, retaining wall that gently curves around the Cherry Tree. Underneath the tree he planted a few of the plants removed from the perennial garden. Jay also included 5 LED wall lights that send light cascading down the wall at night, along with two up-lights for the Cherry Tree. Throughout the planning process Jay was attentive to our questions and requests. He was straightforward and accurate with his pricing. And when the time came to actually build (took 2 weeks), Jay and his team displayed the utmost in professionalism and trustworthiness. It is impossible to give a higher recommendation. They simply do things the right way and with a friendly, honest approach. We could not be happier with our new living space.”
