“I found Essential Extras after attending a home show. I asked 5 different companies to contact me about some deck repairs. Essential Extras was the ONLY one who called me back - exactly when the owner said he would. Terry came out to my home a number of times to ensure he had everything measured correctly and gave me a quote promptly. We wrote up a contract that discussed every step of the project and when each payment was due. Marty was the carpenter who performed the work. He was on site consistently as the weather would allow. One day he was going to be late due to car problems and they notified me. Marty's work was precise and looks wonderful. Terry came out when the project was done to ensure everything was done to my satisfaction. One minor change had to be made and Terry completed it. They were GREAT to work with and did BEAUTIFUL work.”

“John and his crew did an excellent job on our new deck. His estimate was great & he was very timely on the project. He showed up and completed the project exactly as he said. We replaced an old depreciated deck with a brand new Trex Deck one. John Graber & his crew did an outstanding job and the quality & workmanship is excellent! John & his crew were very friendly & easy to work with. We had multiple last-minute changes & requests and each and every one they accepted and handled with outstanding customer service and openness. They even helped us spread large rock that we put in under the deck after removal of the old one prior to the start of the build of the new one. You couldn't ask for a more friendly, customer oriented group of guys. They put up with all of our questions and changes without blinking an eye. And again, the quality and craftmanship of the build was excellent as well. The price was also very good as well. Couldn't be more pleased! Thanks again to you, John & O.J & Ezra! We really appreciate you guys! Hope to maybe come to Jamesport to visit you guys in the near future.”

“The quality of the work on the deck is great. We are very happy with the way it turned out. The only issues we had, which isn't worth dropping from 5 stars because it's relatively minor, is the attention to the clean-up. When they cleaned the deck with the pressure washer dirt and wood fibers got on surrounding non-deck items such as the A/C unit, windows, etc. I had to have them come back to clean up those things. Then after they left the second time I noticed a dead spot in my lawn a few days later where they must have spilled some chemicals. Stuff happens and I'm sure they would have done something about the dead spot if I asked them. But, honestly, it's not worth the bother. I will just throw down some seed when the summer heat settles down and it'll be good by next spring. The bottom line is that we're pleased overall, I recommend their services and I'm sure we'll have them back. I attached a before and some after pictures.”
