“I can't say enough about this wonderful company and particularly it's owner Kathy Alford. She is a talented, gifted, landscaper/artist who transformed our drab, terribly outdated, (yes I'm talking spruce hedges complete with spiderwebs!), into a charming English garden that friends and neighbors stop to admire! She's thorough and very helpful to the novice gardener giving very specific and easy after-care instructions. And best of all offers what she calls a "refresh" which includes a complete overhaul of clipping, pruning, and replanting which I happily invest in every season. I've been so delighted with their work and skill that I've recently hired them to do my driveway and back yard too. I am thrilled with the plans she submitted and can't wait to begin!”

“We luckily found Urban Ecology through Nextdoor. We worked primarily with Farah and Suzee, although I can vouch that all three partners are knowledgeable, talented and a joy to work with. We had a very specific idea on how we wanted to terrace our slope (not something that designers like). They handled us with kid gloves! They were great listeners, took lots of notes and measurements, tested our rock solid soil, and in a short time, presented us with a full set of plans, plus a booklet with a mini plan, a list of all the plantings and a picture of each plant with its description and needs. Interestingly, almost all the plants were new to us, and so we were very excited to see what happens. We planted in October, when the heat subsided, not really knowing what we were going to end up with. Well, 6 months later, our slope is ablaze of color, our major request. Their price was reasonable, they responded to calls (emails) quickly, answered any questions we had. We were delighted!”

“It is a pleasure to write a review on the above business. This company, owned by Ron Nelson, has actually replaced all the windows in two different condos that we owned. This included a total of six sliding doors and 15 windows. They also extended an exterior wall and installed a side door in the garage. The staff are very skilled, knowledgeable and friendly. Ron Nelson was very easy to work with and had good suggestions. He has been in this business for several years and it shows. I would highly recommend this company for any project that they are able to do.”
