“We hired R&R to build a 1,900 sqft deck, outdoor kitchen and seating area. The team was outstanding! I can't say enough great things about these guys. They were clear about what they were going to do, when they were going to do it, and then in the end, it all happened as they said it would. The entire team was fantastic to work with. They came with great ideas and delivered for us every step of the way. If you are looking to remodel your backyard, look no further - this is your team. Choose anyone else at your own risk. Ron and the team are by far the best contractors I've ever worked with. Plus they are great guys on top of it, which makes the process move so much more smoothly. We never had to chase anyone down or wonder when anything was going to happen. They were great communicators throughout the entire project and we absolutely love our new backyard. “I hired Terry Shimono to help with a backyard design and then do all the work for a complete backyard remodel for a 20' x 15' backyard. This included taking out an old concrete patio and replacing with a new patio of pavers as well as an irrigation system and landscaping. Terry is one of the most professional and patient individuals I have ever worked with. He took time on several occasions to discuss the plans, look at patio options and shop for plants/trees. Not only did he meet deadlines and budgets, he also had a very helpful attitude during the entire process. One of the things I was most impressed with was the clean up. When the job was complete, the clean up was so thorough, it was impossible to tell they had been there. The end result exceeded my expectations and I am thoroughly enjoying my new backyard. I highly recommend hiring Terry without any reservations.”

“I can't say enough good things about Will Framing. Will, the owner, has been building decks for 17 years and recently started his own company. I was lucky enough to be one of his first clients. I spoke to 5 contractors for my project. I liked Will right away, and his quote was very competitive. He explained my options very clearly and gave me a few excellent recommendations as well. Will has a really great crew. He brought them breakfast each morning and they really seem to enjoy working together. Demo was done very carefully and meticulously and the deck structure was built very precisely. There was so much measuring, re-measuring, adjusting, and re-measuring to make sure everything was perfect and square. We chose to use Trex for the deck boards and facade, and the way Will laid out the boards is absolutely beautiful. The corners (there were many as I had some odd angles and 3 sets of stairs) were elegantly done. During the build, I had LOTS of technical questions (that's my engineer personality), and Will patiently answered everything and it became clear how thoroughly he thinks about these things. I'd highly recommend Will Framing for any deck project you may have.”

“Southbay Design & Landscaping redid our backyard over 4 years ago, and have been maintaining it ever since. They are very responsive to any requests we have and are thorough in the maintenance of our yard. I appreciate that they will plant new plants for us if we pick them up and have given advice on what kind of plants work around our yard. They even help out by fixing our sprinklers without us asking (we actually hadn’t realized it was broken but were suspicious of why the grass wasn’t growing well in one spot). We appreciate their professionalism and good work.”

“An excellent company to work with. From design, layout and all the way through to implementation- they’re one of the best. We were super pleased with the outcome and also took in their recommendations for landscape maintenance and are continuing to work with them for landscape maintenance. Amazing team and had a great experience! They take such good care of the home, clean up and keep to their timelines as well. We highly recommend Dinsmore’s services and we also had a fantastic experience ironing out the details of the project with Jack - who was very hands on and our first point of contact for all questions. Overall, high quality team and work!”

“Nato Vargas and his team did extensive drainage work for us in 2014. This involved taking down the soil level 4 inches in the back garden, digging and installing several french drains and a sump pump. Since then we've had no water accumulation during subsequent rainy seasons, protecting our foundation. The drainage works perfectly! Nato and team have come back twice, in 2017 and 2020, to repair and stain our back garden fence, resurface the gold fine decomposed granite paths, install a new mail box, replace a garden gate and build a wood shelter for our recology bins. Nato and his team do beautiful work!”

“Jim Roberts was our contact with Black Diamond for our project which consisted of (1)replacing a poured concrete front walkway that had two steps with pavers on an incline with no steps (this avoids people tripping on the steps at night) ; (2) creating a parking space next to the driveway with pavers; and (3) creating extra patio space using pavers around the back yard pool out of a grass area. Jim provided a nice presentation and competitive estimate and provided valuable creative input that steered us towards good choices of pavers and a great outcome. I was very nervous about the second part of the project (see above) because virtually all of our house utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable, water line and drain line) all were directly through the area to be paved. Also, two massive tree root systems running through the area had to be hand removed due to being directly over the utilities. Jim and Black Diamond served up a truly outstanding crew that pulled it off without cutting any of the utility lines. Jim had good follow through and represented his company professionally and he would be our first call should we need paver services again. In summary, this was one of our best ever contracting outcomes and give due credit to Jim for that result. Chuck Clark”
