“Gwen helped us do a major redesign on our house in Yountville. She really helped turn our house into a home.
My wife and I have an art business which we run from our home so it was very important for us to have both work and living spaces. And we wanted a very eco-friendly home. From the very beginning Gwen understood our needs and our aesthetic. Her approach was thoughtful and open, enthusiastic and supportive.
Gwen worked with our contractor to minimize structural changes needed for the remodel. Walls were opened up, a gas line moved, a shower with walls of glass was installed…lots of thoughtful and creative changes that we absolutely never would have thought of on our own. Our elevated fireplace now has these really cool stainless steel bands that go up our fourteen foot ceiling. It’s all Gwen.
She used her years of experience and numerous connections to find eco-friendly materials as well as amazing deals on some mid-century pieces that set the tone for our colors and other pieces of furniture.
Gwen understood that we wanted an open restful space to live and to work. She delivered beautifully. Gwen's touches are everywhere and we feel so lucky to have found her.”

“Design services for whole house remodel. Original recommendation was from our contractor for a design/build project. MADD quickly comprehended our desired outcomes and developed a great overall design with a feel that perfectly matched our life style.
While the overall project cost exceeded our intended budget we loved it so much we bit the bullet and went for it. MADD helped us to identify those areas where cost cutting would negatively impact the project but also steered us to budget savings areas that were negligible to the look and feel of the project.
MADD was easy to work with and respectful of our opinions. I love the approach of absorbing the information we gave her both verbally and physically and then providing us with several options to choose among. It saved us a lot of time and showed how an interior designer's skill can move our project to the next level.”

“Sue looked at the existing space in our kitchen and immediately had a plethora of ideas on how to maximize the space. She suggested that we have the dropped ceiling removed, which ended up increasing the cabinet space by over30%. She saw the minimal amount of drawer space and increased that by over 70% in her design. Sue was able to come up with a cabinet in a corner that was previously wasted space.
We especially appreciated how attentive and responsive Sue was to our needs and budget restraints. She worked with the contractors making sure work was done on schedule and accomplishing what we wanted. Sue is all about customer service and making sure the client gets what the results they are expecting.
We could not be happier with the end result, we got a beautiful new kitchen that has become the show place of our home.”
