“Katherine helped us first by arranging existing furnishings and accessories and making suggestions based on what our overall goals were. It was amazing how re-framing pictures, adding a new lamp and putting a new shade on an existing lamp enhanced our family room. Next she found an area rug for our entry that complimented and unified two different rooms. Katherine’s suggestions for two fireplace mantel accents were perfect. Her idea for a custom area rug with a leather boarder for our kitchen nook was spot-on. She helped us choose hardwood to replace carpeting in our family room and dining room. Guchi Interiors installer was excellent! Stairs were redone with carpet on the tread and hardwood on the risers. When I found some beautiful fabric in Hawaii and wanted to have it framed, she suggested a much more elaborate panel using a drapery rod and tassels. The result was awesome and so much more than I expected. Katherine took the time to really get to know us and we are so pleased to have found her.”

“I have been a custom home designer for 30 years. In that time I have had the opportunity to work with many talented interior designers. Of those there are a few who really stand out and I have to say at the very top of that list is Katherine Pisenti. Her work speaks for itself. She is extremely gifted and has a natural eye for creating the beautiful. I had the opportunity to work with Katherine on one of her projects a few years ago, a beautiful custom home nestled on the shores of Lake Tahoe, CA. Katherine designed the full interior along with making all furniture selections for this new home. She was personable and extremely easy to work with. She is diligent and thoughtful and the finished home was outstanding – elegant with just the right amount of Tahoe rustic, artful and comfortable. In a word, stunning. She creates spaces which are rich in texture and feel, yet are homey and inviting. Whether a one-room redo, a whole house design, staging for the holidays or other significant event, if you are looking for a designer for your home, I can’t recommend Katherine Pisenti of The Olde Country highly enough.”
