Although Kate hadn’t had experience of this type of job previously, she took the time to research the competition and the demographic needs ,as well as listened to our wishes and needs for the property. Kate has provided us with mood boards and colours to complete our studios . She has also given us suggestions of where to source products to furnish the rooms. Without Kates help we were struggling to visualise our completed studios but now with Kates both practical and creative input we can can move forward and complete our project . “We sought help from greta-mae interiors before we moved into our new house. We had a few weeks between completion and needing to leave our rental so saw this as the perfect opportunity to get the bulk of the work done. We wanted the property to reflect our taste and the furniture that we had collected over the years so Amy, from greta-mae, asked us to send her some images of the key items we had, along with a few words to summarise our style. Within a few days we had a mood board that captured what I had imagined perfectly and even after some back and forth, and a lot of patience on Amy’s part, my partner agreed to the colour scheme. Our budget was limited and our goal was longevity - we didn’t want to go with the latest trends or something that will suit us for now, we have a 4 year old daughter so wanted something that she would be happy with now but with a few tweaks could work when she’s older. “We'd just bought a tenement flat in Glasgow which had been rented out for years and was looking very tired. Once we had Megan Griffin Interiors on board, we decided to tackle the kitchen. We weren't sure what to do with the kitchen recess, a dead space which made the room feel dingy. Meg suggested turning it into a walk-in pantry lined with wooden shelves and separated by glass panelled doors, which is now a joy to use and to look at!
