“We hired Emme designs to decorate our penthouse and were very pleased with the results.Before proceeding , with her company,Emmy put our minds at ease by preparing a folio, showing us various materials, colour palette and fabric swatches to be used for our project. Emmy was very professional, communicated well, and was easy to talk to,understanding exactly what we liked…eg. we opted for a minimalist modern decor, for furniture ,T.V. cabinet, study nook etc.She had good contacts, and knew exactly where to source everything from, therefore saving us heaps. “I found Jane of Jane Gorman Interiors very personable and efficient. Her review of my home and call back with suggested fabrics was right on the button. Excellent advice on upholstery in lounge, quick and no fuss on providing samples and getting back to me. Helpful in making decisions, in fact, I was well 'guided' to an excellent choice, which I enjoy everyday as i look over my lounge room. Cupboards and shelving were constructed and painted to an excellent standard and final checks made and any alterations necessary were done without any difficulty. Things that I had forgotten to do were quickly re-addressed by Jane, eg carpet pulled back and relaid. Electrical points shifted. A difficult job was made that much easier as Jane seems to have a good relationship with tradesmen that she uses.. I am very grateful for the work she has done in my home. “We recently hired Mariana of Mild Designz to style our place for sale. By the time she was finished, our house looked like a show home. Mariana spent 2 hours looking around our house made some notes. She then created a layout plan and sent a van load of accessories and artwork to our home. Finally, she came and spent a day staging our house before THE estate agent's photographer took the ad photos. The transformation was beyond what we hoped for and the house looked more like something out of a magazine that a regular family home. Mariana obviously has a flair for design, but she has other talents too. She showed imagination, attention to detail and ever so gently steered us away from anything might not have appealed to potential purchasers. Mariana obviously grasps both the aesthetic and psychological aspects of what appeals to people. I believe that the house sold more quickly because of her work. I also believe the cost of her services paid for itself many times over in a boost to the sale price. Plus, while Mariana chose the accessories with an eye to potential buyers, we liked them so much we are purchasing some of the accessories from her.
