“I have worked with Frivilous Cottage Design over many years. My latest work was in the staging of my home as I was hosting my son's wedding brunch. The house really needed an update and Ms. Cashier guided me as I divested of dated items and added current decor, all with good humor and excellent taste. Ms. Cashier is always on time for appointments, meets all deadlines and has vision. I did not know that my home could look this good. The Capital District is lucky to have Frivilous Cottage Design in the region.”

My 80 year old mother had just moved in to a 5 room wing of our house that had been built just for her. She brought some of her "old" things with her, but needed a fresh, comfortable, new environment. Maryann Syrek was terrific in her ability to listen to my mother and me and to come up with designs and recommendations that pleased us both. She is very creative, but fully understands just how far a client will go. She knows when (and how) to push and when to back off. “I can't recommend Sam enough. Her eye for design is spot on, unique and exactly what I wanted, but couldn't put together myself! Sam helped me pick out pieces for my dining room (hutch, chandelier, scones, rug and mirror) and it looks amazing. The room was completed in a timely manner and I was able to trust Sam for design choices and I knew she wouldn't get it wrong. I will definitely be working with her in the future for other rooms and her store is also awesome to visit!”
