What was once an eyesore and very out of date is now beautiful and easy to care for. Robert has a great eye for design, both modern and traditional, and is very water-wise as well. Virtually every plant he recommended has survived our horrible summers and he save me from making some expensive mistakes. He was flexible and adaptable when it came to making decisions that were both creative and cost-effective. I give them my complete recommendation.”

“Twenty years ago I had the lucky opportunity to meet and subsequently hire John Zito of Zito Landscape Design to design and install landscaping on my recently purchased 2 + acre homesite. The transformation from virtually nothing on the property to the finished product was nothing short of miraculous. From the Tennessee river rock waterfall to the now 30' high front Madjool palms, this property was transformed into "Shangri la" (the mythical paradise described in the novel "The Lost Horizon" The property has a perfect blend of oaks and palms with corner to corner shrubbery and two water features. His design work is extremely detailed, the installation crew second to none and the follow up extraordinary. We just recently remodeled the house and decided to upgrade the landscape lighting which ZLD also does as well as install more features around the waterfall and property.”

“Mr. Filigenzi is extremely creative and knowledgeable about modern landscape design, having worked with the award-winning Raymond Jungles firm before launching out on his own. Despite never having worked in my city before, he was able to quickly assemble a talented and dependable group of subcontractors. I found him easy to work with and able to quickly come up with multiple ideas for my backyard design dilemmas. Although the project took a little longer than expected, he stayed on budget and delivered a stylish, comfortable, and beautifully finished space. My project was the renovation of an area bordered by a small creek; it included a gravel path along the creek, a pond with a blue glass mosaic waterfall, a curved deck cantilevering out over the creek, a boomerang-shaped concrete bench, and a large modern "bird" sculpture that was hand-built on the site. I recommend Mr. Filigenzi without any reservation for a beautiful modern green space that will draw people outside and invite nature back into the city.”

“I chose Cadence from the pictures on their website and after discussing my project with them in person. The project was the renovation of the out-of-date and overgrown yard of a small midcentury modern suburban home. Besides a number of specific requests, I asked them to reference the style of the famous Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx. I found them to be good listeners who were quite responsive to my ideas and able to communicate their plans effectively, and full of creative ideas. The final result was even better than I had been expecting. It came in on budget, almost on time, and having worked with landscape architects three other times, I can say that this time was by far the most enjoyable and worry-free.”
