“DeMichele, Inc. drastically improved our property. They installed a brick front walkway and flagstone steps (with lighting) leading to our front door. They spruced up our portico by capping the wood with siding, adding new columns and a flagstone landing. Also, Belgian blocks were installed along the edge of our driveway. Lastly they provided an excellent design plan and added all new landscaping. Everyone of the staff were wonderful to work with. Elizabeth was very patient with the millions of questions I had and very knowledgeable about the different plant options. The landscaping was done in November and Elizabeth followed up in the spring to make sure all of the plants survived the winter. The crew that did the work, led by Thomas (accent over the a?) were very friendly and did a great job. We are very happy with the final result and would definitely recommend DeMichele. “I've worked with Deanna and her team for a couple of years and have always been more than delighted with her suggestions and the results. At first I was reluctant to contact Garden Escapes because I was concerned that my project was too small for a professional landscaper. That concern was so wrong! She listened to my ideas, likes, and dislikes. It was also important to me that she did not want to scrap everything that I had done previously and install all new plantings. She worked with my Belgian blocks, ferns and a couple other plantings. Some were relocated and new plantings were installed. She also pushed me very gently to go outside my comfort area regarding lighting. I am thrilled with the results. In fact, in Spring 2015 I plan to have her redo the atrium area with E.P.Henry PavingStones. A final point that's also important to me -- Garden Escapes is a small local business.”

“We hired Anne Walters to redesign and refine the landscape around my 1926 home. The house is halfway down a slope and Anne designed a circular herb garden carved out of the slope on the uphill side. She echoed the form of that in a semicircular terrace on the downhill side. Her design tied in to the old home's existing features with an exquisite sense of scale. Her plan also added trees, and extensive plantings, both near the house and at the perimeter, as well as a new retaining wall near our driveway and entryway garden.
Anne gave us a lovely sequence of plant interest all around the house, along with a subtle and pleasing lighting design. She was a good resource for contractors for all aspects. Three years later, I am delighted with my views from inside the house, and the spaces created outside - and in all seasons. Anne Walters is an excellent designer!”
