“Rockwood Cabinetry provided cabinets as part of our kitchen and bath remodel. The quality of construction (solid doors, solid maple drawers, dovetail joinery, plywood cases, finish), the detailed drawings (redone several times as we changed appliances), installation & finish work were great. In fact, the cabinets and counter top exceeded my expectations. The cost was very competitive compared to other suppliers. We were introduced to Rockwood by the general contractor (Chris Holmgreen) we hired to do the remodel.”

“Mr. Denny Deveny is a true professional and a master of his craft. Mr. Deveny transformed our plain room into an 18th century paneled library with a gorgeous fireplace. His communication skills are exceptionally strong with a quick response period. Denny was always quite clear about the costs, there were never any surprises. He is thoughtful and organized. He is NOT the type of person that “flies by the seat of his pants.” You always know exactly what is happening with the project. He is also flexible and wants the customer to be satisfied with the outcome. It was always a pleasure to talk and collaborate with Denny. On more than one occasion, after following my design requests, I would decide it did not quite look right and he always graciously changed it. There was never any “push back.” He also has an excellent relationship with a company that can produce finishes that resemble the quality of high end furniture. Denny is a highly skilled craftsman and his work is beautiful. Denny is the only person we have ever entrusted with a key to our house. “David & Claire just finished updating our cabinets and walls last week. They took a smelly, dingy, impossible to clean, 1951 kitchen with decades of peeling paint, doors that wouldn't close or come clean, scary, cavernous, inefficient cabinets, and non-functioning, grimy drawers into a fresh, efficient, clean, fully functional space. We LOVE our kitchen now! We can't stop looking at it. It feels totally new, much more functional, like we have more space in the existing footprint, and looks amazing! They: replaced all the doors and drawer fronts; installed new hardware and Euro hinges; recommended and worked with the custom drawer builder to build and install new drawers and cabinet organizer; stripped and repainted the cabinet boxes; built and installed a tall, skinny custom book case next to the fridge; painted the walls and ceiling with minor plaster repair. The work took about ten days, much less money, time, and frustration than a total tear out. And, better use of resources by using what we already have in our existing footprint. Their part of the total project was about $6500, with the total project about $12,000. I highly, enthusiastically recommend Refinish First. They are personable, patient, helpful, courteous, hard-working, professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and responsive. I am thrilled with their results!”
