“The best measure of the quality of a business is how they respond when the going is tough. Cal Preserving comes through with shining colors. They stand behind their work and are pleasant about it. I originally had Cal Preserving finish my deck in 2014 when it was brand new. Then last year (in the midst of the pandemic), I had it refinished. Unfortunately there was miscommunication about whether sanding would be needed or not. We didn't sand and I wasn't happy with the result. But here's the good part: Cal preserving owned the communication confusion and redid the deck for me. This time they sanded, and my deck looks brand new. The team was fantastic (Jose, Oswaldo, Leo) and even remembered doing the original work in 2014. They really approach their work as true craftsmen. They are helpful, communicative, pleasant, respectful of property, neat, efficient and do fabulous work. I am very pleased with the result. It's easy to find someone who will refinish a deck....but there is a HUGE range of quality out there. Some are cheaper than Cal Preserving, but you will not get the value and the beautiful outcome from most others. They are top notch and will be the only team refinishing my deck going forward. Well done!”
